God has called us to live our lives in community with other believers.
The church in the New Testament understood this reality, and God blessed their obedience. Acts 2:42-47 says, "And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers...And all who believed were together and had all things in common… And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved."
At Parkway, we believe that community reflects God’s design for us. The walk of Christian discipleship suffers when lived in isolation. Like a pile of hot coals, we cool off when separate from the rest. Thus, community is an important part of the discipleship God calls us to. Our Community Groups ministry is one way the people of The Parkway Church can pursue faithfulness to this call.
Community Groups are small gatherings of believers that meet* for the purposes of Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Our hope is that we would bring glory to God through these groups by making disciples in biblical community with one another.
