Sunday Worship

Our weekly corporate worship gathering takes place on Sunday mornings in our Sanctuary at 10:30am. The writer of the book of Hebrews regards the gathering of the local congregation as specifically important, and something not to be neglected (Heb. 10:24-25). When the entire congregation of The Parkway Church gathers each week, we come together for the faithful preaching of the Scriptures, the observance of the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper, Gospel-centered singing, and times of corporate prayer and confession. We do all of this with the aim of beholding and magnifying the glory of Christ, who has redeemed we who were enemies of God, and to stir one another up to love and gospel-centered works.

Music:

We believe that music in the church is extremely important for the spiritual formation of the believer. We believe that music not only provides a means to express our love for God, but also serves as a means of remembering formational truths about who God is and who we are as a result, and as a means of expressing our unity in the Gospel as a congregation (Col. 3:16). So, we sing a mix of hymns and songs both old and new—but our primary focus is magnifying the glory of Christ, and treasuring Him above all in and outside of our corporate gathering (instead of stressing a particular style or “feel” of music).
